Est. In 2023.

Thank you for your interest in our Celebrancy Training course.

Before enrolling on the course, all learners are asked to complete a short Pre-Course Readiness Check. This is for anyone who wishes to begin celebrancy training with us.

This is not an exam, interview, or test of personality. It is simply part of our enrolment process and helps us make sure that you understand the nature of celebrancy, that the course is the right starting point for you, and that we are aware of any support you may need to access the course fairly.

This check should take around 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

Purpose of the Readiness Check

The purpose of this check is to help us understand:

  • Why you are interested in training as a celebrant
  • What you already understand about the role
  • How you may respond to a simple professional situation
  • Whether you need any support or reasonable adjustments during the course
  • We are not looking for perfect answers. We are looking for honesty, thoughtfulness and a basic understanding of the role.

This readiness check does not assess your age, disability, race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, accent, appearance, education history, personal background or confidence level.

All learners are reviewed against the same basic readiness criteria. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where needed, so that learners can access the course fairly.

Important Note

This readiness check is designed to support you. It is not intended to create unnecessary barriers.

Celebrancy requires care, respect, listening skills, professional judgement and the ability to support people through important moments in life.

Learners come to this work from many different backgrounds. You do not need to have previous celebrancy experience to begin the course. You simply need to show a basic understanding of the role and a willingness to learn.
