The School of Civil Celebrancy Learner Charter - Registration & Certification Policy

Aim:

  • To register individual learners to the correct programme within agreed timescales.
  • To confirm that the learner legal right to live and work in the UK, evidence of age and evidence of home address. ** id requirements detailed below.
  • To claim valid learner certificates within agreed timescales.
  • To construct a secure, accurate and accessible audit trail to ensure that individual learner registration and certification claims can be tracked to the certificate which is issued for each learner.

 

In order to do this, the School of Civil Celebrancy will:

  • Check learners Identification. We will accept the following items.
    • Legal Right to Live & Work in UK
    • Valid EU Passport
    • Birth Certificate
    • National Insurance Card
    • Correspondence from HMRC with national insurance number

 

  • Evidence of Age
    • Valid EU Passport
    • Driving Licence (Provisional or Full) *must be in date
    • Birth Certificate

 

  • Evidence of Home Address
    • Recent Utility Bill (within 3 months)
    • Correspondence from Bank/building society
    • Driving Licence (Provisional or Full) *must be in date
    • There may be instances where other forms of evidence will be accepted, this will be at the discretion of the senior management team.
  • Register each learner within the accrediting body requirements.
  • Provide a mechanism for programme teams to check the accuracy of learner registrations.
  • Make each learner aware of their registration status.
  • Inform the accrediting body of withdrawals, transfers or changes to learner details.
  • Ensure that certificate claims are timely and based solely on internally verified assessment records.
  • Audit certificate claims made to the accrediting body.
  • Audit the certificates received from the accrediting body to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Keep all records safely and securely for three years post-certification.

This policy will be reviewed every 12 months by the School of Civil Celebrancy Team.
